Terms And Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before ordering any services from our site. You should understand that by ordering any of our service, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

1. Arrival time & access to the property

Cleaning service occurs between 8am- 8pm on your regularly scheduled day. Given that each home that we clean varies in the amount of time it takes to clean, we cannot guarantee an exact time that we will arrive. We will discuss arrangements of how to access your home before your first service. Clients generally provide us with a key to their home, and we are very vigilant about safeguarding your key. In order to protect your identity and safety, each key is assigned a coded number and kept in a key safe in our office. Your key will only be accessed by your service team the day of your scheduled cleaning service and it is returned to the office at day’s end.

Ensuring adequate parking is the responsibility of the customer. If you are not able to provide a free parking space for the cleaners van the additional charge might occur for a parking fee. Covering parking expenses is responsibility of the customer.

2. Payment

Payment is due in advance at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made. Failure to leave payment may result in cancellation of services and the cancellation fee will be required. Over 10 miles from PO2 9JR, the mileage fee can be applied (£1 per each mile over 10 miles – one way only).

3. Cancellation

If you need to cancel / rearrange a scheduled cleaning, please inform CleanPortsmouth 48 hours prior to your scheduled day. This allows us to service another appointment and is also a more efficient use of resources and helps keep your costs down. Respecting our policies for rescheduling or cancelling helps insure you will get the best house cleaning service possible. If the visit is cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the cleaning, the client must pay a cancellation fee of £50.

4. Pets

We love them! But please secure any pet that may be a threat. Also, we do not clean up after sick pets or pet accidents.

5. Refunds

Since cleaning is a very tailored and personal service, we cannot offer refunds to clients. However, your satisfaction is important to us. If you are not happy with the work, call us within 24 hours and we will come out and re-clean the area at no additional charge. Sometimes breakage occurs when there are “booby traps”. Those are accidents waiting to happen. We are often handling things that aren’t normally touched (pictures not hung securely (e.g. with thumb tacks), top heavy items with unstable bases, wobbly, tippy objects, etc.). Each incident is reviewed on a case by case basis. We cannot take responsibility for “booby traps”. Please remove unstable breakables to a place we do not clean (we do not clean inside curios, china cabinets or clear wet bar shelves).

6. Our Guarantee

We stand behind our work – if you are not happy with the work, call us within 24 hours and we will come out and re-clean the area, from which you are not happy, at no additional charge. We cannot take responsibility for: cleaning job not complete due to the lack of hot water or power; presence or entering of a third party at the customer’s premises during the cleaning process is taking place; failing to remove old/permanent stains that cannot be removed using standard carpet cleaning methods; existing damage or spilled liquid stains that cannot be cleaned/removed completely using standard cleaning equipment
